I am 28 years young, living in the beautiful state of Washington, in the greater Seattle area. I moved up here from sunny Colorado to pursue a career is the Digital Media Arts.
Growing up I have always had a great passion for the digital, technical, and formal arts. I received formal art training at a young age from Bemis Art School and after school art programs. During my time in high school I took on student government and technical theater. I learned a great deal about technical lighting, building stages, and even got certified on the fly system but along the way I found a greater passion in sound and managing. I continued my remain years in high school as backstage manager for 3 and a half years and ran and won for a chance to sit on the student governments cabinet as Communications Officer and graduated in 2000.
Continuing my love for sound and technical arts, I attended Pikes Peak Community College after a 2 year hiatus from schooling, and I received 2 certificates in Television and editing. I eventually landed some internships while attending school. I worked as an on-air personality for 2 quarters and I worked as promotions intern, attempting to learn the in and outs of the studio while I could. During my time at school, I worked as a night club DJ for 6 years, a photo studio, and gained great experience from the Space Foundation as a administrative assistant. After 3 years of working with the Space Foundation, I got laid off and figured it was time to really start my path to bigger and brighter things.After moving to the greater Seattle area and landing a dead-end job, I felt as my many talents are wasted, so enough is enough! I decided am going to college, getting a degree and getting back in the game.
Currently I am a full-time honors student, honing my skills in the digital arts. I still have a great love and passion for audio as well as keeping my skills as a photographer, very much alive. I am very excited and hopeful to find my career and look forward to a bright future.
