The Robot Movie trailer

For my class assignment this week for my post is about posting a movie trailer.  This movie trailer is very entertaining and I definitly will be watching this once it comes out on video. I am a fan of Bollywood cinema as well as Robots, there is also a giant snake made of out of people…so it just wouldn’t make sense not to see this.

Panoramic Seattle

I went on a panoramic spree back in May. Wanting to find interesting views to photograph. I think so far the ones at the Pikes Market were so much fun, because they seem to feel like they tell more of a story. I also took a panoramic photo of my favorite drink shop “Pear Delicatessen & Shoppe” I heart their selections and variety in drinks and food. I think next time, I am going to hit different angles and scenery.

School

For one of my class we are required to have a blog. So for this quarter I am volunteering my very own blog because I wanted this blog to be aimed for everything and not just photography of course. This blog is mainly for techniques I have learned and well as art I have been producing. So will see what kind of fun blogs my teacher has in-store for me to do. Today I need to post an interesting video I chose a video that show sound waves through salt, I really enjoy this video because you get to see what patterns are made in the air to achieve that pitch.

Up High

Once a year my father and I, will attend the annual Balloon Classic in Colorado Springs, CO. We wake up generally at 5/5:30am to be out the door by 6am to go get a great parking spot and wander into the park where all the hot air balloons are just getting laid out for their adventure into the great big blue. Years prior, there has been days when they do not take flight, you only have three days to try to catch them in action, weather permitting of course. This year they went off without a hitch, you really couldn’t have asked for more of a perfect day then the first day. That evening was just as perfect for the Balloon Glo, that only takes place two nights. I had a great friend of mine come down from Denver to take part in the adventure of the balloon glo. With our cameras armed, we were instant shutterbugs when they would count down for the glowing of the balloons. Every year for the balloon festival, I feel as if I take the same pictures time after time… Strange enough, as I look back on my past balloon photos I do notice how much I have matured as far as taking pictures of balloons go. I can definitely say, I look forward to doing it all again next year, just to see…

Point Defiance Zoo

For my B-day my fiancé took me to the zoo in Tacoma, WA. This post is a little tardy getting up, but I have been working hard this summer on classes such as Dreamweaver and Maya. I defiantly enjoyed myself but I think I am a little partial to Seattle’s zoo and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, CO.  I do believe I got some really awesome shots. I wanted to accomplish some dramatic shots as well as action. So I got photos of the polar bear swimming and of a puffin bathing. I definitely can tell how much my photography has grown in 10 years. I am enjoying the ever learning process and here is to 10 plus years more!

Birthday Weekend

Last weekend was my 28th birthday. Not to shabby of a week in general. On the day we had a party, Redmond was holding their annual Derby Days. My whole block was blocked off. If you wanted to go across the street, you seriously had to out run all of the bikers. All around my complex block was the race track. I am not to big on blurry photos but I do appreciate it, in this case.

My friends and myself tried to see the 4th of July fireworks for Seattle, we had an amazing spot… it rained us out. Still was fun to hang out with friends in a park for even a couple of hours.  The one thing that amazed me the most was, I got to fly a home made paper kite. Anyone could make a kite who was in the park that day. There is something to be said about lots of mini handmade kites in the sky all at once. My photos just couldn’t give them justice!

Boom City

Saturday a couple of friends, myself and my gent,  drove up north to the Tulalip Indian reservation to check out Boom City. This was our first time and man it was a little overwhelming at first because I had no clue what to expect! There were so many firework stands dressed in graffiti and fireworks. As you walk down the many many rows, the people who work the stands try to draw you in like a carnival attraction offering you “the best deal”. I took some photos but in my honest opinion not enough! This was something I will defiantly be returning to next year, but perhaps with some more money or a better lens ;)
